I didn’t really read a book. I just watched Ken Underhill’s Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking course from Cybrary. Not sure if it is still free, but it was a free course when I took it. For labs, I did some easy boxes from HTB, and to be honest the easy boxes on HTB is 30 times harder than this test.
